Job Opening: Ocean Import Specialist

• Ocean freight import specialist – We prefer to work with a candidate who is more experienced in ocean freight • We are looking for an ocean/air freight import specialist – Min 1 year ocean import experience for LA/Long Beach ports can look for candidates who are experienced in ocean freight business (1 yr experience in export freight is a plus) who can handle high volume of shipments in our Long Beach office. This position offers an improving carrier plan for the candidates. Pay Range & Benefits: • 21 USD/hour Work Location: Long Beach, CA Responsibilities (not limited to): • Follow up booking requests coming from customers • Communicate with origin/destination agents to arrange the loading/unloading of the shipments • Input data to the system • Communicate & interact with carriers, truckers, shipping agents, customers, vendors, as well as internal warehouse team members & freight operation members to ensure operation goes smoothly • Follow up Ocean Shipments by o checking the ETAs of the shipments frequently, o reviewing and ensuring all documentations are accurate processed in time o processing ISF filings on time o following up customs clearance processes including exams o following the ocean containers with the terminals & ports o update shipment status, issue arrival notice and obtain entry docs for customs entries. Communicate with customs brokers to confirm the customs release status o following up the cargo availability status o reconcile import files and accurate data input of files in system • Follow up and problem solve with customers • Assist customers with inquires and daily tracking issues • Organizing files electronically • Getting costs from the vendors on time and processing correctly • Invoicing the customers on time
