Job title: Logistics Coordinator
Shift: 8:30AM-5:00PM Monday-Friday
Position Summary: As a Bilingual Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of logistics operations, ensuring smooth and efficient movement of goods and materials. Your role will require strong communication skills in both English and Spanish to effectively liaise with international suppliers, customers, and team members. You will play a crucial role in optimizing supply chain processes, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate Shipments: Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers to plan and schedule shipments, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of goods. Arrange for necessary documentation, customs clearance, and compliance with international shipping regulations.

Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and ensure accurate record-keeping. Coordinate with warehouse teams to optimize storage capacity and minimize stock discrepancies. Generate reports on inventory status, including stock levels, aging, and consumption patterns.

Order Processing: Receive and process purchase orders from customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and transportation providers to fulfill orders efficiently. Monitor order progress, resolve any issues or delays, and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.

Communication and Documentation: Serve as a primary point of contact for international suppliers, customers, and internal teams. Communicate effectively in both English and the other required language to facilitate clear and accurate information exchange. Prepare shipping documents, invoices, and customs paperwork as required.

Problem-solving and Troubleshooting: Identify logistics-related issues, such as delays, damages, or quality concerns, and take prompt action to resolve them. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective measures and improve operational efficiency.

Continuous Improvement: Analyze logistics processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance operational effectiveness. Seek opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and optimize transportation routes.

Compliance and Risk Management: Stay updated on international trade regulations, customs requirements, and transportation guidelines. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including import/export documentation, hazardous materials handling, and security protocols.

Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and logistics service providers. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve favorable outcomes. Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues, improve service quality, and drive customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role
- Fluent proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
- Strong knowledge of international shipping, customs procedures, and trade regulations
- Proficiency in using logistics software, inventory management systems, and MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle unexpected situations
