Description
SUMMARY: A Warehouse Associate is responsible for their portion of the warehouse functions. This role will be accountable for the suitable handling and processing of all orders received in the picking, scanning, shipping, receiving and/or returns area. Though each associate is assigned to a section of the warehouse, all are trained in the various areas and work where needed most as directed by their supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To Perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function.
- Safely pull, process, and perform inspections of materials, supplies, tools, fixtures, and part and complete required paperwork.?
- Accurately record quantities selected (or shorted) maintaining the company standard error rate.
- Move materials within the warehouse and assist in other warehouse activities as directed by Supervisor or Manager.?
- Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from staging and processing areas.
- Read work orders and/or receive verbal instructions for work assignments.
- Fill and complete order receipts.
- Transport filled orders to and from shipping area.
- Maintain good housekeeping and regularly clean work area, machines, and equipment.
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.
- Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance.
- Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards and maintain clean and orderly work area.
- Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
An individual qualified for this job must be able to:
- Pay very close attention to detail in order to effectively manage inventory.
- Rely on monitoring and inventory control, as well as good problem solving, analytical skills and judgment in order to resolve issues in a timely and efficient.
- Understand written instruction and complete appropriate documentation as directed.
- Accurately multiply, divide, add, and subtract whole numbers to resolve practical problems.
- Efficiently operate a computer and demonstrate PC proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Use a logical approach to troubleshooting issues and prioritizing production needs.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
An individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications:
- At least 6 months experience in a warehouse setting.
- Must be able to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) through Highline Warren.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent pushing, pulling, reaching.
- Repetitive grasping and twisting with hands.
- Walking and/or standing up to 10 hours per day, 6 days per week if applicable.
- Ascend/descend stairs/ladders when getting in/out of fork truck and using ladders to access high shelves to put labels away and/or rearrange product.
- Perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels and have the ability to exchange detailed information.
ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS
The environmental conditions described here are representative of those the associate encounters while performing the Essential Functions of the job.
- The individual will be expected to work in a warehouse environment, which may include being exposed to work in high/precarious places, moving machinery, marked changes in temperature and humidity, and dust, odors, and fumes. Typical noise level is loud.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
