Job Opening: EHS Technician
Stanton, CA 1st shift 7am – 330pm, one position M-F The Environmental, Safety & Health Assistant works with the EH&S Manager and Safety Manager to support the company goals while meeting all environmental, health, and safety objectives. Essential Functions: · Collect and compile data from gas/ampere/flow meters and gauges for environmental agency reporting. · Conduct Safety, Dip Tank, Eye Wash Stations, Fire Extinguisher, and Fire Sprinkler Inspections (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly as needed). · · Perform other Environmental and Safety duties as assigned · · Maintain and restock first aid kits. · · · Coordinates with the Safety Manager to develop and implement new safety policies as required. · Assist in the creation of job hazard analysis and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) assessments. · Perform department specific safety surveys using inspection forms to ensure employees are utilizing safe work practices such as utilizing proper PPE. · Assist Safety Manager to ensure safe work practices and proper PPE is being utilized by employees. · Inspect and restock PPE as needed. · · · Assist in accident/near miss investigations when necessary · 1. Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point). 2. Bilingual preferred but not required. 3. Ability to multi-task, to shift priorities and to follow through on projects with minimal supervision. 4. Strong communication and organization skills required.
