We’re hiring an experienced Customs Account Analyst that has worked with US/MX customs paperwork or someone that comes from the transportation industry for a local client in the Otay Mesa area. Job Responsibilities:
- To provide the highest level of customer service to clients, vendors, and service providers in acquiring the proper import documentation.
- Rating, classifying, and release of shipments.
- Coordination of cross-border release to include export pedimento (customs declaration) and drayage coordination.
- Logging of border shipment entries into the Buckland database.
- Management of gathering, sending and distribution of documents from office facsimile machines and or email.
- Receive and process electronic file transmission for Northbound (and Southbound as a backup processing point).
- Create Customs documents for Northbound (and Southbound as a backup processing point).
- Provide Customs documents package (Mexican and U.S.) to LLP personnel.
- Keep track of the border crossing operation in both Customs facilities.
- Close weekly consolidated Pedimentos for Mexican Customs.
- Keep track of Northbound operation issues (follow up).
- Have personnel on site during Customs operating hours to process and provide shipping documents for Border crossing.
- Adjust personnel working hours based on TMMBC requirements due to contingencies generated by Holidays, production changes and/or TMMBC request.
- Preparation of customs and internal documents with guidance when necessary.
- Completion of mid to high volume of entries.
- Queries handled in a prompt, efficient and professional manner.
- Client servicing and reporting of any issues to Team Leader/Supervisor.
- Other clerical office duties such as filing, photocopying or projects as assigned.
