Job Opening: Machine Operator
Description
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating a given number of plastic blow molding machines (including in-line equipment), and makes necessary adjustments or minor repairs to ensure production of containers is made in a safe, efficient and high quality manner.
Machine Operator Primary Duties
• Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned
• Properly fill out and turn in all daily quality and production paperwork at the end of the shift.
• Keep pallet tags and counts accurate.
• Operate plant machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain maintenance logs, records, and other documentation.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Maintain clear effective communication with others in order to produce maximum results with minimum hassle.
• Communicate observed safety, production or quality problems to Supervisor.
• Adhere to Lock out/Tag out protocol.
• Observe all safe practice guidelines.
• Recognize quality defects and learn cause for correction.
• All other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Lead Person, including assisting and learning job responsibilities of other classifications as required.
Requirements:
• Machine Operating experience for 2 years preferably in plastic molding and injection molding.
• Steel toed BOOTS (no steel toed shoes required)
• Ability to work full shift
• Accurately review and use of computer
• Good penmanship
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, stoop
• Walk full duration of shift
