Job Opening: Knit Operator

Looking for someone for knitter position in the Burlington area!
This is 3rd shift 12am-8am
Associate will be skilled in producing and/or packaging first quality products; be experienced in gathering required materials for each product; and assembling into finished goods meeting customer specifications. Includes use of air hose, air gun, scissors, snips, pen, doff buggy, ruler, pallet and Unipack.
- At beginning of shift, walk around machines and check for proper thread up, machine problems, defects, correct yarn (packages), etc.
- Keep creels double tied as much as possible.
- Make sure yarn is clean and free of damage and debris before tying onto creels. Make sure yarn knots are secure.
- If supply package has no tail, place an empty yarn cone on the reserve creel and pin backwards to notify next shift.
- Double check to ensure yarn is the correct yarn for that machine.
- Periodically check each machine running for defects or machine problems.
- When machine completes preset revolutions, doff roll carefully.
- Fill out proper knitting piece ticket/label.
- Attach ticket/label to roll and place roll on appropriate buggy, pallet or Unipack for weighing.
- Wipe down doff bar and wrap fabric around the bar as trained.
- Fill out new piece ticket accurately, reset doff revolutions to zero and start machine.
- Inspect fabric to ensure machine is not running defects.
- If any oil reaches the floor, clean up immediately to avoid accidents.
- Work area must be kept clean always and machines must be kept clean and free of contaminants.
