Job Responsibilities

• Follow safety and GMP guidelines
• Utilize LEAN tools such as Standardized Work, 5S, Visual Management as well as leading Kaizen projects and documenting results to support continuous improvement projects
• Identify and establish machine spares for equipment as needed
• Continuously work to improve the level of housekeeping and implement 5S throughout the facility
• Perform any other duties as specified by the management
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment
• Inspect, operate, or test machinery to diagnose malfunctions
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery
• Work individually or in a team environment

Job Requirements

• A.S./A.A. Degree in Mechanical/Utilities Technology, or Licensed Journeyman, with a minimum of 5 years of work experience or 2-year college degree or equivalent certificate in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Systems, Mechatronics, or equivalent field experience preferably including hands-on or vocational school training, and a minimum of 10 years of experience as a general maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Advanced math and analytical skills
• Must be willing to work altered shift schedules/overtime as needed to support the business
• Daily and Weekend Overtime may be required to complete duties of the position
• Leading mechanics and contractors during work in the plant
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
