Job Title: Production Supervisor

Compensation: BOE

Work Schedule - 6 AM - 4 PM, Monday - Friday with Saturday and Sunday During Peak (Mandatory)

ProLogistix is currently recruiting for a hard-working individual with previous Supervisory experience for a 1st Shift Supervisor position in the Old Dixie Area/Forest Park Area. Seasonal with potential to become Permanent.

Job Descriptions:

Primarily, responsible for providing supervisory support to the warehouse day operation including receiving, staging,  and ensuring that all store deliveries are completed. Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services; supervising staff, ensuring safety, building team accountability and implementing company disciplinary policy.

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Service Center & Warehouse.

This includes, but is not limited to, conducting (directly and/or through full-time employees and seasonal temporary employees) receiving, inspection, quality maintenance, order processing, pallet building, and shipping of retail merchandise. The Supervisor is to meet goals and improve operating performance, while ensuring that he/she and subordinates comply fully with standard operating procedures.

The Warehouse Supervisor is to assume full managerial responsibilities during the absence of the Warehouse Manager. He/she is required to utilize computer software (especially, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) in order to receive, record, and transmit information and communications.

Job Requirements

 • College degree preferred.

 • 4+ years supervisory experience in logistics/operations required.

 • Good written (especially email) and verbal communication skills.

• Forklift Certified is a Plus but not required.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Ability to learn new computer software and technology quickly via self-learning (or if offered, training).

  • Leadership, motivation and managerial skills. 
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated success in implementing best practices in distribution, with a focus on receiving KPI's.
  • Ability to analyze and report on data to management in a clear, concise manner. 
  • Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities. 
  • Accurate with attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication and organization skills with superior work ethic. 
  • Judgment and decision-making ability. 
  • Team player who works productively with wide range of staff

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills. 
  • The ability to make decisions, problem-solve, prioritize assignments and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, warehouse environment.
  • Proficiency with computer systems (Outlook, MS Excel)
  • Ability to learn software as needed 
  • Demonstrated competency at developing and evaluating employees to achieve company objectives 
  • Experience with process improvement and knowledge of best practices within receiving 
  • Ability to motivate, influence, communicate and engage staff in all the company objectives
