We are seeking a hardworking and reliable individual to join a team as a general laborer for a reputable logistics company in Ashland, VA. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing a variety of tasks that require physical labor in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Perform various manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks, and containers
• Clean and maintain work areas to ensure a safe and organized environment
• Follow instructions from supervisors or team leaders to complete tasks efficiently

We have a direct hire opening for a Director of Operations in Reno at a logistics company specializing in semi-truck transportation services. This is a 1st shift opening.

In this role, oversee all operations related to the semi-truck fleet to ensure efficiency, safety, revenue growth, compliance, and a positive working environment.

They have a fleet of 37 trucks and 65 trailers that operates across shipping lanes in 11 western states to deliver good efficiently and safely.

Salary and Shift Information:

• Salary:$100k-$120k/annually
• 1st shift: 7 AM-4 PM; Monday-Friday

Job Duties of the Director of Operations:

• Supervise daily operations to ensure efficient fleet utilization and adherence to schedules
• Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize fleet utilization, scheduling, and routing
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement
• Work closely with different divisions of the company to streamline operations and enhance communication, including dispatch, maintenance, and customer service
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of operational and administrative staff
• Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners to foster collaboration and drive business growth
• Lead initiatives to implement technology solutions and automation tools to enhance operational efficiency
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and third-party auditors to maintain necessary certifications and licenses
• Implement processes to track and document compliance-related activities
• Develop strategies to increase revenue and profitability while maintaining cost efficiency.
• Analyze financial data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop pricing strategies and secure new business opportunities
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for drivers and staff
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks
• Provide safety training and support programs for drivers and operational staff
