Job Responsibilities:

• Accountable for food preparation for the particular kitchen area they are assigned to. Coordinate leftover product utilization and recovery with other culinary staff and managers in order to control food costs. Weighing ingredients for recipes, figures partial amounts, adds and subtracts fractions. Labels ingredients clearly. Monitoring food preparation temperatures with appropriate temperature logs to insure safety and compliance with Health Department regulations. Serving food to customers from the serving line during meal service times. Responsible for unused food safety following guidelines on cooling, storing, and labeling all products. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor as the work is very visible to clients and may produce a strong positive or negative impact on the department or company image.

Job Requirements:

• 3 months recent experience working in a distribution center or warehouse a plus
• Able to work 8 hour shifts
• Able to carry, twist, push, pull products and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand, walk at least 1 mile and push and pull 50 pound carts for the entire shift
• Experience working with hot foods, steam, and hot appliances, coolers and freezers on a daily basis
• Able to use equipment/tools such as knives, Hobart mixers, meat slicers, stack ovens, convection ovens, Hobart chopper, digital scales, assorted small hand tools, steam kettles, tilting skillet, char broiler, flat grill, deep fryers, box proofer, steam tables, mandolin, and assorted service tools
