Job Opening: Control Room Clerk
Description
Great opportunity for an experienced Control Room Clerk to help manage control room operations within a Distribution Center.
A successful candidate will support a schedule that includes Weekends and Swing Shifts to support the operation as needed.
This position will also support other Departments and Areas as needed.
This is a 1st shift position located in Wilmington. Hours may change and may include working weekends.
Responsibilities for the Control Room Clerk include:
- Ensures accuracy of receiving/shipping paperwork is within standard
- Ensure productivity of assigned control room tasks are within standard
- Candidate needs to have problem solving skills, ability to analyze information, find solutions, and make decisions.
- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities
Required criteria for the Control Room Clerk:
- 1-3 years of related experience and/or training in Dispatch or Control Room.
- Control Room / Dispatch experience highly desired.
- Available to work all flex schedules as needed should volume dictate.
- Strong background maintaining quality of work
- Strong background maintaining productivity
- Strong background handling dispatch paperwork
- Strong background RF, WMS, and general systems
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must have working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
Preferred skills for the Control Room Clerk:
- Deep knowledge base in SCALE (WMS system)
- Deep knowledge of various kind of paperwork (BOLs, shipping manifests, etc.)
- Understand the volume that needs to be processed
- Assisting in the completion of End of shift paperwork
- Ability to print shipping and export
