Optical Sorter Machine Operators needed in LaPorte IMMEDIATELY!

We are NOW recruiting for potential candidates that have skill sets to operate Optical Sorting Machinery for a globally renowned logistics/engineering company.

• Must be detailed focused and have exacting standards for quality.

• Must be able to enter provided packaging data into a touch screen with accuracy.

• Operate machine control switches.

• Capable of working multiple packaging machines (sorters) in various workstations.

• Take samples of products for quality and density and document findings.

• Capable to set up sorters independently for the next run.

• Build up gaylord boxes and insert plastic bag liners.

• Operate filler machines while maintaining the flow of materials.

• Be prepared to clean up machines and assist with power washer.

• Competent to perform basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).

• Must possess the skills to provide quality customer service including the ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.

• Be able to work in non-climate-controlled work environments.

• Capable to work in areas that generate lots of noise while always wearing proper PPE.

• Must be able to frequently lift 55 – 100 lbs. safely.

• Must have the capability to show up on time for work and complete projects without breaching due dates. Experience

Requirements:

Must have at least one year of recent sit-down forklift experience in production warehouse environment.

Pay rate: $17.00/hr.

Schedule: Monthly Rotation. Must be flexible and available for OT/weekends when required.

Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm, 2:00pm-10:30pm,10:00pm-6:30am Adherence to work schedule contributes to team’s productivity and efficiency.
