Job Opening: Material Handler

ProLogistix is currently hiring Material Handlers to take on day shift and evening shift job opportunities in Ridgeville.  These are career opportunities supporting distribution of cold and frozen food. You will be handling boxes of fresh and frozen food, palletizing, and working in a cold environment. This is a repetitive job requiring consistency and accuracy throughout the shift. Successful material handlers may be given the opportunity to advance into a forklift operator or team lead role after probation period.

Pay:  $18.00 per hour (Unlimited referral bonuses!)

Day Shift: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Night Shift: 3:30 pm to 12 midnight

Job Duties as a Material Handler for ProLogistix:

• Unload boxes of fresh and frozen food by hand
• Repalletize products accurately and quickly and wrapping as needed for storage or export
• Ensure product is palletized correctly and safely according to regulatory guidelines
• Work in a fast-paced team environment meeting productivity goals
• Accurate record-keeping and inventory documentation
• Follow all safety guidelines
• Keep loading/unloading area neat and clean at all times

• Lifting requirement is 50 pounds repetitively throughout an 8 hour shift
• Will be working in a cold storage warehouse environment – it’s 35 degrees year round!
• Stand for 8-10 hours per day
• May stay late or work weekends
• Work with a sense of urgency to meet production demands
• PPE required is safety boots, safety vest, coat, and gloves
