Material Handler – 2nd Shift
Location: Chicago, IL
Shift: 2nd Shift – Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 3:30 PM to 12 AM

Pay:$20.76

Certifications Preferred:

• Raymond Walkie Rider/ Electric Pallet Jack 

• Raymond Stand-Up Dock Truck

Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to join our weekend team. This position is vital to warehouse operations and involves case picking, pallet consolidation, and loading/unloading activities. This is not a 100% forklift role—a variety of warehouse tasks will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use of Electric Pallet jack/Walkie Rider for Case picking, also using an RF scanner

• Consolidating and wrapping pallets

• Unloading trucks using material handling equipment

• Following Ryder’s training process: starting with hand pallet jack; forklift certification provided on-site

• Adhering to safety standards, including wearing steel-toe shoes at all times

• Lifting 35–50 lbs as needed

• Performing physical tasks such as standing, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout the shift

• Maintaining flexibility to support different departments as operational needs change

Requirements:

• Strong attendance and punctuality

• Walkie Rider and Stand-Up Dock Truck certifications (Raymond preferred)

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
