Job Opening: Facility Operations Manager
Description
Custom broker Distribution center is seeking a Facilities Operations Manager to lead cleaning, maintenance, and security at several warehouse and office facilities, with more locations on the way as company continues to grow. This hands-on, leadership-oriented position is ideal for someone who works to the highest standards, takes pride in maintaining world-class environments, and understands that our facilities must be ready for inspection at all times.
Responsibilities:
• Perform and supervise heavy cleaning tasks using industrial equipment (scrubbers, blowers, etc.)
• Execute and manage general maintenance: painting, minor repairs, lighting, basic electrical work, light welding, and more (anything not requiring a license)
• Ensure full compliance with safety and all applicable laws, codes, and regulations (OSHA and local)
• Keep all areas clean and presentable with a professional appearance at all times
• Identify and resolve problems before they affect operations or safety
• Coordinate and supervise outside vendors for specialized repairs or services
• Maintain accurate records of tasks, safety checks, and repairs
• Train and supervise an Operations Assistant or assigned temporary workers
• Lead by example, setting standards of operational excellence
• Manage minor cash, coordinate with vendors, and purchase minors with complete integrity and transparency
• Model professionalism, cleanliness, and attention to detail
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance and heavy cleaning
• Own basic set of tools (specialized tools provided)
• Experience using industrial cleaning equipment
• Solid knowledge of safety regulations, facility codes, and legal compliance
• Leadership skills to coach and guide other team members
• High integrity and responsibility in managing vendors, purchasing, and safety issues
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and proud of their work
