Job Opening: Material Handler

Employbridge is seeking an experienced Machine Operator for our client based in Wabuska, NV (just outside of Yerington, NV) for a long term assignment based on attendance and work performance.

Shift-

• 1st shift Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm 

• 1st shift – $17 an hour 

Job Summary-

Manually move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other general labor. Includes all manual laborers not elsewhere classified. 

 • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment. • Sort cargo before loading and unloading. • Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information. • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. • Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets. • Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported. • Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift cargo and guide loads. • Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected. • Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers • Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use. • Other duties assigned by manager.

Job Requirements-

• Bend and stoop for 8-10 hours

• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Repetitive motion for 8-10 hours
• Stand for 8-10 hours
• Steel toes or composite shoes
