Job Summary:
Join metal components using various welding techniques, ensuring the quality and accuracy of welds, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. This also includes interpreting blueprints, preparing materials, operating welding equipment, and adhering to safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Possess the ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- 3 years of Experience as a welder in a fabrication manufacturing or structural environment.
- Sanitary welding
- Clamp, hold Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind and/or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
- Maintains weld machines using preventative maintenance methods
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
- Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers
- Weld pipe by method of tungsten in welding (TIG).
- Ability to maintain dimensions and tolerances to specifications. Ability to weld dissimilar metals. Ability to weld parts and structures that vary in size, shape and thickness.
- Knowledge of a wide range of welding principles, processes, and difficult techniques requiring complete penetration and fusion of base and filler metals
- Minimum 12 months relevant TIG welding experience
- Metallurgy knowledge
- Able to read blueprints/drawings
- Able to use basic hand and power tools
- Mechanical aptitude and basic Math
- Hand eye coordination and dexterity
- Attention to detail
