Pay Rate: $19/ hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 12:00pm-8:30pm – Occasional Saturdays

Contract to Hire after 90-days (Based on performance)

Job description:

***This position involves outdoor work, operating a forklift, and manually handling materials, including using tools like chainsaws. Candidate to be prepared and able to work outside in minimal covered areas, regardless of weather conditions*** 

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate Sit-Down Forklift
• Perform distribution-related functions (receiving, storing, and shipping/building of loads)
• Ensure load matches order prior to vehicle exiting yard. Perform customer service activities.
• Possess alertness and adaptation to warehouse routines. Understand and apply fundamental mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Material Handlers have broad in-depth knowledge of building material products and warehouse operations.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work area. 
• Follow safety programs and ensure compliance of OSHA regulation. 
• Material Handlers demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. 
• Follow safety guidelines
• Loading / unloading trailers a plus
• Use handheld scanners or onboard computers
• Follow warehouse systems and processes
• Consistently meet productivity standards
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months recent experience on Sit Down Forklift (propane or electric)
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of proper forklift safety skills
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills
• Attention to details
• Experience working in a distribution center or warehouse
