Pay Range: $22.00 – $29.00 per hour
Shift Options:

Monday – Thursday, 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Summary
The Punch Press Operator (Entry Level) is responsible for safely operating punch press equipment to produce metal parts that meet quality and print specifications. This role may include basic machine setup and offers continuous learning opportunities to advance into more complex machine operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform all tasks with a strong emphasis on safety.

Operate punch press equipment, including coil or sheet-fed presses and drill presses, under close supervision.

Follow work orders and blueprints to ensure correct quantities, types, and quality of parts are produced.

Use precision measuring and gauging tools to inspect parts before and during production runs.

Monitor machines continuously for proper operation.

Accurately complete shop traveler and timekeeping documentation.

Participate in continuous learning to gain proficiency in machine setup and more advanced equipment operation.

Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production goals.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Willingness to complete additional training or schooling as needed.

Basic computer skills with familiarity in Microsoft applications.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English or in a manner suitable for the plant environment.

Proficient in advanced shop mathematics.

Strong attention to detail and awareness to ensure safe machine operation.
Physical Requirements
-
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during a shift.

Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and reaching.

Ability to stand or sit as required for the duration of the shift.

Strong vision, hearing, hand-eye coordination, and dexterity required.

Must have the physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
-
Exposure to loud noise for the majority of the shift (hearing protection provided and required).

Fluctuations in temperature within the production area, with occasional outdoor exposure.

Regular contact with cutting oils, solvents, and other industrial materials.
