Job Opening: Material Handler

Material Handlers Needed

 All Shifts: Training schedule will begin as 7am – 3:30pm (Mon-Fri) with OT and weekends as needed for the first 1-2 months for testing *Flexibility will be CRITICAL

PAY: 18.75- $21.25 (depending on shift)

Material Handler:

 What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility

• Use hand trucks, hoists, conveyors or other material handling equipment

• Perform duties that may include picking, packing, scanning, kitting or counting products, verify products and quantities in system

• Adhere to the 7S program and always maintain a clean environment

• Use a barcode scanner and warehouse management system

• Counting and verifying products on pallets / quality checks

· Ability to read and run computer (blue yonder Supply chain system)

• Work in a safe manner that protects you and your team members

 What you need to succeed:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Experience operating material handling equipment ( carts/ systems)

· It’d be great if you also have:

· Availability to work a flexible schedule, with possible overtime when needed

· 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment

· Experience using a handheld scanner

· Ability to use computer systems / run machines / Troubleshoot errors

· Positive attitude and the ability to work on a team to achieve goals and objectives

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift up to 50 lbs.

• Stand, sit or walk for long periods of time

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights

• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull

• Use hands and fingers to handle or feel tools or equipment

• Run Systems, trouble shoot errors

· Count and verify products on pallets

· Cross train in varies areas

· Could include boxing products (single pieces) loading carts into trucks, hand loading onto pallets in trucks
