Job Opening: Blast Specialist

USDA/BLAST/Reach position

Must have high reach experience, working in -20 degree temperatures as well as being well versed in temperature tracking and data entry. Organizational skills as well as clear communication skills.

• Standard temperature check intervals are every 12 hours over a 48-to-72-hour period

• A core temperature of 0 degrees Fahrenheit (-18 degrees Celsius) is needed for product storage

• Core product temperature must be checked on a predetermined schedule during blast freezing process

• Make sure that the documents/information submitted at various stages of the export process are accurate and complete as inaccuracies cause delays and possible product loss

• Check to see if the goods to be exported are restricted/prohibited or if they need additional licenses or permits

Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday 4:00am-2:30PM
