Hiring 1st Shift Yard Rigger
Scheduled: 6:00am to Finish, Monday to Friday
Pay rate : $18.00 per hour
General Description
Assist the crane operator in the safe and efficient movement of precast panels, hardware, production beds, and other materials or equipment throughout the daily production process.
Job Responsibilities
- Signal the crane operator during lifting and placement of panels.
- Use rigging devices for transportation, storage, and shipping of precast panels.
- Hook and unhook lifting cables, ring clutches, and spreader bars.
- Maintain constant communication with the crane operator via two-way radio, especially when guiding the crane around blind spots.
- Place dunnage for panel storage in racks or trailers for customer shipments.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production operations.
Working Conditions
- Regularly required to stand, twist, walk, and use hand tools or controls.
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance on elevated surfaces, and stoop, kneel, squat, crouch, or crawl.
- Noise level is typically loud; hearing protection may be required.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to fluently communicate and read in English

External Basic Qualifications:
- Willing to work a flexible shift.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team with strong communication skills.
- Must remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times.
- Requires constant medium to heavy manual labor.
- Must wear required PPE at all times: steel-toe ankle boots, hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
- Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to sun, heat, humidity, cold, wind, light rain, sand, and dust.
- Capable of constant walking and standing across a 60-acre worksite.
- Commitment to maintaining good housekeeping and following all safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to climb ladders, man-lifts, and scaffolding; must be comfortable working at heights
- Willing and able to stand at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications: - High School Diploma/GED and at least 2 years experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
- At least 6 months experience operating motorized material handling equipment.
- At least 6 months experience with radio frequency (RF) scanning.
- At least 6 months experience entering and retrieving data in an inventory
