Job Opening: Material Handler

 Hiring for Material Handlers 1st shift in Franklin, IN.

Job Summary: The Material Handler performs various functions throughout the facility including receiving, delivering materials to/from production areas, shipping, scrap material moves, and miscellaneous supply moves, using different types of forklifts and attachments, in a safe and efficient manner.

Shift & Pay rate: Rotation schedule from 6:30am to 6:30pm & $22 an hour.

Job Functions:

• Perform forklift inspections and report any issues. Responsible for battery maintenance, charging, changing and filling lift truck battery as needed.
• Move finished goods from product lines to warehouse staging are.
• Operate large material wrapping equipment, including palletizer.
• Transport raw materials to product lines from warehouse area.
• Verify, identify and inspect a wide variety of incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods from operations Use barcode scanner and/or computer system to complete various inventory transactions.
• Prepare and/or assemble required shipping documents.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Recent manufacturing experience/warehouse distribution experience.
• Previous experience operating fork trucks, clamp trucks or pole trucks required. 
• Excellent computer and machine operation skills a must.
• Ability to multi-task, with little direction while maintaining a high attention to detail.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, take initiative and adapt to change when required.
