Shipping Lead
As a Shipping Lead, you will play an important part in the Outbound team by ensuring all outbound shipments are processed according to client and customer needs. This position will involve frequently lifting and moving boxes from 20 – 50 lbs. and wrapping pallets the entire shift.
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 1:30pm-10pm
- Pay: $21/hour
- Location: Fontana, CA
Job Description:
- Ensures outbound product are loaded and shipped according to assigned carrier
- Ensures custom retailer carton labels are generated and applied in the correct position
- Being able to use and navigate the WMS system to ship orders
- Consolidate shipment requirements based off Customers’ request
- Maintain a training log and all training documentation?
- Provides?and coordinates training for a new hire?and existing?NRI employees?to ensure?training is delivered and?evaluated for consistency?
- Coach, counsel, and inspire employees to not only meet but exceed required?performance metrics?
- Aids?in creating training programs by assessing?skill/knowledge gaps, training objectives,?work situations, changes in training?SOP’s along with?continuous improvement projects?
Requirements:?
- Understand how to write?and/or read an SOP?
- Patience with the understanding that some employees learn differently?
- Able to confidentially provide?positive and constructive feedback?
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including new hires, to build rapport and facilitate a positive?experience ?
- Trustworthy and moral character (we use pre-employment background & drug tests)?
- Must have 12+ months of training experience in a warehouse environment.?
- Must be proficient with or willing to learn Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint).
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a MUST
- Must have physical ability to carry out essential job functions, including but not limited to, the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., walking and standing for extended periods, climbing ladders/stairs, ok with heights in elevated areas and tolerating conditions such as dust, dirt, noise, odors, heat, cold, etc.?
