Job Opening: Transport Coordinator
Description
Transport Coordinator must possess a thorough knowledge of processes and procedures associated with customer service, supply, storage, and distribution functions within a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment. The candidate will be the primary point of contact for Customers. Monitoring transport KPIs and short-term action plans, and tracking new transport projects.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
• Higher education or equivalent work experience in administrative logistics industry.
• Proficient in the following: Outlook, Excel and TEAMS.
• Must have strong organization skills, assertive, flexible, and customer service oriented.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Central knowledge center and point of contact for daily transport operations.
• Manual entry of orders.
• Handling and preparing transport and customs documents.
• Coordinating with carriers to ensure on-time deliveries by tracking trucks via track & trace tools and customer-prepared documentation.
• Updating internal track & trace tools and sending them daily to the customer.
• Arranging returns.
• Timely reporting of escalations to the transport manager.
• Following up on the Distribution file and using it to achieve continuous improvements.
• Physically and electronically file BOLs.
• Log location of trailers + follow up “Log Report”
• Following up on escalations from carriers and customers.
• Reading, analyzing, and adjusting KPIs as necessary. •
Tracking late arrivals
• Holding daily/weekly meetings with the customer.
• Handling special requests from customers (express shipments).
• Finding the ideal match between end customer and carrier.
• Being objective in identifying responsibilities for “a late delivery” and making improvements based on that knowledge.
• Close collaboration with the customers, end customers, transport partners and the BU transport team.
• Taking responsibility and being daring in a rapidly changing transport market with the goal of satisfying our customers with the solutions you offer.
• You monitor the operational transport KPIs and link them to short-term action points.
• You support the proper implementation of new transport projects at the site level.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
• Wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and follow/execute all safety procedures/rules as outlined in the Safety Manual and OSHA regulations.
• Possess a high standard for quality. Thorough knowledge of all procedures, instructions, and documents of the Quality Manual relevant to the department and facility.
