Job Purpose
The Operational Care Specialist is responsible for managing the coordination of shipments accurately and on time, ensuring customer transit requirements are met. As part of the Operational Care Centers team, you will coordinate transport activities by executing bookings with partners and gateways, generating required documentation, and monitoring shipments—including deviation handling. You will work closely with Customer Care Specialists to ensure specific requirements are met (transit times, carrier selection, routings, etc.). Securing buy rates and capacity with qualified carriers/partners or via KN gateways is critical. All activities must comply with air transport regulations, industry standards, KN guidelines, and be executed through KN operational systems.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and perform all operational activities reliably, accurately, and on time, minimizing overdue tasks.

Ensure effective communication with stakeholders following established communication concepts.

Monitor shipments, follow up on deviations, and provide timely updates in KN systems, including financial data such as costs.

Review and clarify CCL instructions when conflicts or discrepancies arise with regulatory requirements, routing, Track and Trace, or rate information.

Report operational problems, disputes, or discrepancies immediately to supervisors or managers.

Collaborate with partners, suppliers, gateways, warehouses, customs teams, RCC, and external parties as needed.

Monitor carrier and partner performance, escalating issues when commitments are not met.

Work with the Optimization Team to improve process execution, maximize system utilization, and reduce manual processes.

Maximize profitability through cost optimization.

Identify and implement process improvements.

Partner with Sales and Customer Care teams on account implementation, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to operations.
Qualifications & Skills

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations preferred.

Ability to work in compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

Proficiency in operational systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
