Aggregate Laborer Needed in Garwood, TX!
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to support daily plant operations. This role involves significant physical labor, with a major focus on shoveling, sweeping, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors and around heavy equipment, and is committed to safety and teamwork.
Primary Duties (Emphasized Tasks):

Extensive shoveling of materials such as rock, sand, cement, and other aggregates around plant areas.

Regular sweeping, hosing, and general cleaning of work areas to prevent buildup of dust, debris, and materials.

Clearing walkways, platforms, and operational areas to ensure safe access for employees and equipment.

Performing cleanup around conveyors, hoppers, pits, and other plant equipment to keep operations running smoothly.

Assisting with spill cleanup, washdown tasks, and housekeeping assignments as directed by supervisors.
Additional Duties:

Assist plant operators and maintenance teams with basic tasks as needed.

Perform simple repairs or adjustments under supervision (tightening bolts, removing blockages, etc.).

Monitor plant areas for safety hazards and report issues immediately.

Follow all safety procedures, including wearing PPE and adhering to lockout/tagout when required.

Support production by helping with material handling and equipment inspections.

Operate basic tools and equipment such as shovels, brooms, hoses, wheelbarrows, and small power tools.
Schedule:
Monday-Saturday 5am-5pm (hours may fluctuate depending on production and weather)

Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs., shoveling for extended periods, climbing stairs, and standing/walking for a full shift.

Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, dust, mud, and varying weather conditions.

Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.

Experience in construction, concrete, aggregates, or industrial environments is a plus but not required.

Must be willing to learn and follow all plant safety protocols.
