Job Opening: Forklift Operator (Line Driver)

Position Summary

A Petrochemical company in Laporte, TX is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator (Line Driver) to support shipping, receiving, and production operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is responsible for safely operating a forklift, transporting packaged materials, maintaining accurate documentation, and adhering to all safety and quality standards.

Pay Rate: $16.50/hour

Shift: Rotational Shift Required

6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

(Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require)

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift safely to move packaged materials from production lines to containers
• Load and unload inbound and outbound orders
• Inspect containers prior to loading
• Transfer heavy materials to the production line as needed
• Perform inventory management, storage, and documentation
• Ensure all dock and warehouse operations follow OSHA and company safety standards
• Inspect forklift and equipment daily and frequently
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment
• Assist with general labor and production line special projects as needed
• Follow all company work rules, safety procedures, and PPE requirements
• Be on time and ready to work at least 5 minutes before shift start

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of sit-down forklift experience in a warehouse environment
• Must be able to operate a forklift using both feet
• Must pass the ProLogistix Forklift Driver exam (theory and practical)
• Valid and current driver’s license required
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Strong attention to quality and safety
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
• Customer-service focused with professional and courteous communication skills

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly
• Work performed both indoors and outdoors, including exposure to extreme weather conditions
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
