Job Summary
The Wave Panner is responsible for operating wave panning equipment within a manufacturing environment to ensure products are processed consistently and meet quality, safety, and production standards. This position supports efficient manufacturing operations by monitoring equipment performance and maintaining product quality throughout the process.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor wave panning machinery during shift
- Load and unload materials or components according to production schedules
- Adjust machine settings to maintain proper wave action, speed, and coverage
- Inspect products during and after processing to ensure conformance to specifications
- Identify defects, irregularities, or equipment issues and report them promptly
- Perform routine cleaning, preventative maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate production, quality, and downtime records
- Follow all manufacturing safety, quality, and environmental procedures
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams
- Meet productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
- Ability to read work instructions, specifications, and production schedules
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Basic mechanical skills and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods during shifts
- Ability to lift and move materials as required by the role
- Manual dexterity to operate machinery and handle components
- Exposure to noise, heat, and moving equipment typical of a manufacturing floor
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
