Job Title Manufacturing Solar Cell Production Operator
Job Type: Full Time Over Time Schedule Direct Hire Opportunity
Pay $3,300 to $4,000 biweekly 21-23 an hour
Passport Requirement Valid passport required for approximately 3 months of training abroad
Schedule 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM and 8:30 PM to 8:30 AM rotating every other month while in China and working 6 days a week. Overtime for anything over 40 hours each week
Job Summary
The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for performing physical labor and operating automated and semi-automated production equipment within a solar cell manufacturing facility. This role supports the fabrication of high quality solar cells while following all safety protocols, workplace policies, and established manufacturing procedures to ensure efficient and profitable operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Wafer preparation including cleaning, texturing, and doping of silicon wafers
- Monitoring high temperature furnace processes for do-pant diffusion and metal contact application
- Etching and coating processes using chemical baths and deposition tools to apply anti-reflective coatings and surface passivization layers
- Screen printing and drying processes including application of front and back conductive pastes, curing, and drying
- Testing and quality control including electrical and optical testing such as IV curve measurements and electroluminescence imaging
- Manufacturing of mono-crystalline and poly-crystalline silicon solar cells
- Support product development, process optimization, tool optimization, yield improvement, OEE improvement, and cost reduction initiatives
- Participate in pilot production runs for new technology generations including PERC, TOPCon, and HJT cells
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and ethical standards
- Adhere to all workplace policies and business conduct requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Ability to work continental shift schedules
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical labor
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment
- Valid passport required for international training
