Job Opening: Carpentry Helper

A global provider of high-tech industrial packaging solutions is seeking a skilled Carpenter for its Newark, CA facility. This location specializes in precision-built wooden packaging, engineered crates, and custom transport solutions designed to protect sensitive, high-value equipment across industries such as semiconductor, medical, aerospace, and electronics.

Position Summary

The Carpenter is responsible for building high-quality wooden crates, pallets, and custom packaging using technical drawings, shop tools, and production specifications. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and essential to ensuring that customers’ products are transported safely and securely.

Key Responsibilities

• Build wooden crates, pallets, and custom packaging according to drawings and work orders
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood components using saws, nail guns, drills, and other carpentry tools
• Inspect finished products for accuracy, durability, and quality standards
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and BOMs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Collaborate with production leads and team members to meet daily output goals
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry, woodworking, construction, or a related trade
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in industrial packaging or crate building
• Experienced using hand and electric tools
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or production environments
