Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the full spectrum of accounting operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of financial processes from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger.
- Maintain accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper supporting documentation.
Reconciliations & Reporting
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
- Generate monthly financial reports for the Director of Accounting & Finance.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and required reports.
Payroll & Compliance
- Process payroll and ensure accurate payroll reporting and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Prepare and file sales tax and other required regulatory reports, including multi-state filings when applicable.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
Inventory & Cross-Department Collaboration
- Maintain and reconcile inventory-related accounting in coordination with Operations and Supply Chain.
- Collaborate with various departments to review company plans and align on future strategies.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, workflow efficiency, and reporting accuracy.
Leadership & Support
- Provide backup support to broader accounting functions as needed.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, including delivering bi-annual performance reviews.
- Work closely with auditors to ensure accurate recording of company financial transactions.
Other Duties
- Assist in budget tracking and expense monitoring.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and employee information.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of Full Charge Bookkeeping experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Experience in consumer goods, manufacturing, or distribution industries preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
