Shift: 3rd Shift | Sunday–Thursday | 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM [Job Training 2-3 Weeks on Day Shift]
Location: Wyandotte, MI
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Warehouse PIT Operator I is responsible for operating powered industrial equipment to safely and efficiently move materials throughout the warehouse. This role supports inbound and outbound operations while maintaining accuracy, safety, and quality standards in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to push, pull, lift, stack, and move materials
• Use handheld scanning devices to track inventory with a high degree of accuracy
• Load and unload trailers as required
• Perform inbound receiving and staging processes
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with 7S standards
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational procedures
• Demonstrate commitment to process improvement and operational excellence

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience
• Trained and certified in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks (PIT)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when necessary

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and more than 75 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to lift and carry items of varying shapes, sizes, and weights
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to use hands and fingers to handle tools, controls, or equipment
• Ability to work in hot and/or cold warehouse environments

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication skills with supervisors and team members
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
