Experienced S & R Forklift / Reach Truck Operators needed in Baytown!

Job Specifics:

Skilled worker with a thorough knowledge of procedures and processes associated with supply, storage, and distribution functions in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will be responsible for inbound orders, outbound orders, inventory management, storage and accurate documentation of packaged material from a conveyor line.

Experience Requirements:

Must have at least 2 years of Reach Truck / Forklift Operator experience in shipping & receiving warehouse environment.

Job duties:

• Take packaged material from line to container

• Inspect container before loading

• Transfer heavy material to production line when needed

• Ensure all dock operations are performed in a safe matter

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment

• Occasionally assist the production line with special projects

• Inspect equipment daily and frequently

Pay rate: $17.00 per hour.

Schedule: Monday-Saturday 4:30am to 2:00pm or 2:30pm to 12:00am.

Vendor and Maintenance / Repair Coordinator

Responsibilities:

- Prioritize tasks based on importance

- Keep up with the preventative maintenance schedule for all the forklifts, mule trucks, and reach trucks on site and schedule with contractor

- Make POs in a timely manner and send to appropriate person

- Work along side the parts room coordinator and support them when needed

- Keep track of the tools and supplies the technicians use for jobs

- Keep an inventory count of janitorial supplies and keep the supplies in stock for our janitorial team

- Plan work order requests and coordinate with forklift technicians to get the task completed as quickly as possible

- Call contractors out to work on our packaging equipment and send POs for service as needed.

- Signing in contractors working on site and keeping up with the contractor vests

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm

Pay range: $16.00 to $18.00 an hour. Based on experience.

Job Requirements:

Medium - high level of computer skills

MS Office - proficient in Exel

Employee must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds, use stairs, and stand for longer periods.

1-3 years relevant experience, with a strong emphasis on industrial maintenance preferred

Basic knowledge of electricity, mechanics, and pneumatics not required but a plus 

General and Task Management

• Assist in running an efficient warehouse operation which is able to fulfil operational and customer demand and meet set targets.

• Ensure the delivery of materials to shipping lines in accordance with production schedules.

• Train new Warehouse operatives within area of responsibility.

• Ensure inventories in area of responsibility are accurate.

• Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately.

• Support organizing and participate in stock takes at regular intervals.

• Ensure that any computerized or automated systems are accurate and up to date.

• Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse. Where appropriate elevate the issue to a more senior level.

• Produce regular reports and statistics as and when required.

• Ensure that health and safety meet the required standards and carry out risk assessments.

• Ensure that all lifting and maneuvering of products and materials is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures.

Schedule is rotating from days to nights.

Responsibilities of a Customer Service Rep:

Help manage current customer accounts.

Deal with a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls.

Maintain relationships with carriers and customers.

Provide exceptional customer service to customers and carriers.

Solve customer and carrier problems and help resolve issues.

Provide shipment quotes for customers and set up shipments as required by customers.

Excellent multitasking skills within their work space as well as computer software programs.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED required

Two years of experience within the logistics industry; import/export experience a plus but not required.

Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office, SAP, WMS system and TMS.

Pay:$20.00 per hour.
