- Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
- Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
- Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs
- Recruit and coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to availability and requirements
- Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures
- Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
- Provide efficient delivery logistics through data management.
- Fill out import-export documentation
- Compile carrier and route assignments
- Compute international fees for each shipment and keep track of shipment payments and quotas.
- Use of automated systems that will identify shipments, collect data, and register packages with government agencies
