General overview of this role:

Responsible for administering the Customs release and confirmation process for international import transactions arriving via multiple modes of transportation. This role reviews and processes U.S. Customs documentation and supports clients’ business requirements by ensuring timely and accurate Customs Declarations/Entries. Duties include data entry, documentation review, and providing customer service to clients.

Specific Job Task:

• Review invoices, manifests, and other supporting documentation for compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and company policies.

• Enter commercial information into the Customs operating system.

• Contact clients to obtain necessary or missing documentation.

• Verify documentation for entry and rating compliance.

• Prepare and submit Customs Declarations/Entries to U.S. Customs.

• Provide customer service and assistance via telephone and email.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Ability to use vision, adjust focus, and work on a standard computer screen.

• May require extended sitting or standing and use of standard office equipment.

• Must be present on-site at the assigned work location.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Excellent customer service skills for phone and email communication.

• Basic computer proficiency.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.

• Above-average math skills.

• High accuracy in data entry.

• High school diploma or GED (or currently working toward GED).

• Minimum of 1 year of heavy data entry experience.
