• Complete packaging of orders following established packaging guidelines.

As a Line Operator, you will be responsible for operating one or more packaging machines, ensuring optimal operation and performing inspection tasks during production. Responsibilities for this Line Operator job include:

• Assist with the start-up of the packaging machines and the changeover to a new format
• Mount and change the foil rolls, sticker rolls etc.
• Supply the cartoning machine
• Monitor the proper operation of the machines and make adjustments where necessary
• Check for possible glue residue on carton
• Check for the availability of proper labels
• Inspect the proper inkjet settings (stamp check)
• Check the metal detector
• Check availability for the correct type of stickers
• Check seal integrity
• Assist with the stopping the machines at the end of production (emptying the conveyor etc.)
• Signal and register technical malfunctions and abnormalities of the packing material
• Perform small technical interventions upon malfunction
• Clean the packaging machines
• Change and identify the containers for products intended for rework or feed
• Supervision of the overall tidiness and cleanliness of the packaging area and the warehouse
• Knowledge and application of necessary GMP & safety rules and standards

Qualifications for Line Operator:

• Insight in equipment operation and mechanical components
• Must be able to perform duties following all regulatory GMP/FSMA food hygiene practices
• Basic computer and math skills
• Operation of packaging machines
• Good communication skills, both written and oral; ability to read and write effectively

Shift Hours: 3rd shift:  Sun 5:30pm-UNTIL and Mon-Thu 7pm-UNTIL . Until the work is done. Typically 9-10 hr shifts.

Pay Rate:$16.50hr. (Once hired on with the company, payrate will increase to $ 20hr with shift premium)

Summary

The job title is Warehouse Associate but essentially these are Picker positions.  Using an RF reader, picking the pill bottles and placing them in totes based on where it is being shipped out to.  Using an RF reader that tells you what to pick, how much to pick and from where.
