Forklift Operator - Sit Down and Skid Steer 

Training for 2 weeks on a day shift 6am - 2:30pm (2nd interview with manager required) Open availability is required and will be discussed with Manager.

Basic Job Function: To load and unload raw and finished product in the warehouse area in accordance with first in first out (FIFO) operating procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading trailers in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the FIFO procedures.
• Conduct daily preventative maintenance checks on equipment as directed by standard operating procedure and management.
• Conduct inventory as directed by shift supervisor.
• Assuring that no damaged pallets are released to customer.
• Responsible for the completion, legibility, and accurateness of the documentation required by management.
• Communicate operational problems to other forklift operators, warehouse leadsman and shift supervisors.
• Responsible for the safe operation of the forklifts in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Accountable for the cleanliness of the warehouse, loading docks, and shipping yard.
• Required to fulfill material handler duties as directed by shift supervisor.
• Perform extra duties as directed by shift supervisors and upper management.

Job Requirements:

Skills
• Ability to adapt to business demands daily duration 8-12 hours or Weekly Duration 4x3/week & 3x4 week
• Ability to work in team environment
• Great attitude and ability to want to learn
• Able to meet clients requirements; background check, drug test
• Warehousing experience minimum 2 years
• Ability to read, write understand and communicate in English
• Mathematical skills includes Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction
• Ability read work instructions, product specifications, and safety labels.
• Ability complete forms and logs as required by work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Physically able to walk, stand, sit, lift up to 25-50 lbs each, bending, and reaching above head from time to time

Primary Responsibilities

• Complete detailed equipment Pre-Delivery Inspections
• Perform equipment function testing and minor repairs
• Read and understand manuals, blueprints, schematics
• Manage yard and maintenance area daily to ensure clean and safe work environment
• Maintain precise inventory, maintenance and, shipping documentation
• Maintain regular communication with supervisor regarding all safety concerns, procedural issues, and functional variances

Education/Experience

• High School Education and/or GED
• 1+ years as service technician
• Technical School graduate preferred
