PROLOGISTIX IS SEEKING A 2ND SHIFT WAREHOUSE LEAD

Looking for an Experienced Warehouse Lead that is seeking a long term opportunity that could possibly lead into a Supervisor position.

Must be able to work long hours and weekends if necessary

Shift: 9pm-Finish

Pay: $25/hr

Team Lead acts as a front-line extension of the manager's and/or supervisor’s authority. Helps ensure the employees are present and the work is completed on time. Provides support, training, direction and assistance to his/her team members on all areas of their assigned duties

Job Duties:

Must be able to operate a Dock Stocker Forklift

  • Monitor processes while performing time studies and report any concerns or suggestions to Supervisor or DC Management Team for improvements.
  • Assist in development creation and writing SOPs and work instructions.
  • Coordinate staffing with distribution leadership team on a daily basis ensuring adequate coverage throughout receiving shipping and inventory areas.
  • Handle all administrative functions of incoming calls or emails to resolve problems.
  • Provide constructive and timely feedback to associates regarding performance and productivity.
  • Provide feedback on observations made with staff work flow or processes providing suggestions on improvements with details to Supervisor or DC Management Team.
  • Work on the floor in a distribution role as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 months recent experience on Cherry Picker/ Order Picker Lift
  • Operate at heights up to 30 feet in the air
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of proper forklift safety skills
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills
  • Attention to details
  • Experience working in a distribution center or warehouse

Work as part of a team, having responsibility for warehouse operations. Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Entry level - 2 years experience required. Skills and Competencies: Team player and detail oriented. Responsible for processing inbound and outbound shipments. Knowledge of and ability to use digital warehouse devices used for inventory management (shipping, receiving, cycle-counts, organization). Forklift certification required. Safety Toe footwear required. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Support within the Warehouse department (ex. Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Management etc.). Transport/staging of product. Maintain work and product store areas. Other duties as assigned.

Responsible for driving forklift trucks, moving materials around warehouses, factories, and other worksites. Principle Accountability: Responsible for preparation of all loads. Stage all loads for shipment, lining up in the correct location for shipment. Verify shipment and load the correct product on the truck. Locate and move all packaging items as needed for production. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and work that requires repetitive motion. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; handle small components; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Associate will be responsible for regularly counting a portion of inventory to ensure accuracy by physically verifying the quantity of stock on hand, identifying discrepancies, and reporting any issues to maintain proper inventory levels within a system; essentially acting as a quality check on the warehouse's stock data by performing periodic cycle counts throughout designated areas.

Performing scheduled cycle counts: Regularly counting specific inventory items in designated areas according to a predetermined schedule.

Data entry: Recording count results accurately into inventory management systems.

Investigating discrepancies: Researching and analyzing reasons for discrepancies found during counts, such as damaged goods, incorrect location, or system errors.

Reporting discrepancies: Communicating identified inventory discrepancies to supervisors or inventory control specialists.

Root cause analysis: Assisting in identifying the root causes of inventory inaccuracies and proposing solutions to prevent future issues.

Inventory adjustments: Making necessary adjustments to inventory records based on verified discrepancies.

Maintaining inventory accuracy: Following established procedures and best practices to ensure accurate inventory data.

Utilizing technology: Using handheld scanners, inventory management software, and other tools 

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Must have reliable transportation

Must be able to operate ALL lifts

Strong attention to detail

Accuracy in data entry

Ability to work independently and follow instructions

Basic math skills

Physical stamina to walk and lift items throughout the warehouse

Good organizational and time management skills

Familiarity with warehouse layout and inventory systems
