Forklift Operator (Freezer Environment)

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to work in a fast-paced freezer warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and store products while maintaining accuracy and safety standards in sub-zero temperatures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload, transport, and stack materials and finished products.
• Use RF scanners to accurately track, receive, pick, and move inventory.
• Verify product locations, quantities, and shipment information using warehouse management systems.
• Follow all safety procedures and freezer PPE requirements.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report any issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous forklift operating experience required.
• Must have experience using RF scanners in a warehouse environment.
• Valid forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to work in cold/freezer temperatures for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse duties as needed.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to safety.

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic math skills
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from freezer environments as low as -20°F to dry storage environments up to 100°F while wearing company-provided PPE
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends as needed
• Comfortable working in varying warehouse noise levels

Key Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up reach forklifts safely and efficiently
• Put away palatalized units by lifting forks for placement into elevated rack locations
• Retrieve palatalized units from rack locations for outbound shipments
• Use RF scanners to accurately record inventory, weights, counts, and product conditions
• Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, and lifting devices
• Complete daily forklift inspections and equipment checklists
• Monitor battery charge levels, maintain batteries, and ensure equipment is properly stored and charged
• Work with other warehouse machinery and material handling equipment
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
