Sewing Machine Operator Responsibilities

• Must be able to use a variety of high-speed sewing machines (at least four) to assemble a limited variety of products or sub-assemblies of small, light to average weight parts following standard procedures.

• Assemble and fit parts to close tolerances. Requires aligning, fitting, and adjusting parts to meet requirements. Refer to drawing specifications as guide for performing assembly tasks.

• Places spool of thread on spindle of machine, and threads thread through machine guides, tensions, and eye of needle.

• Inserts bobbin into shuttle, and guides thread through slot in shuttle wall, or draws thread through guide and looper eye.

• Presses knee lever, depresses pedal, or moves hand lever to raise presser foot or spread feed cups. • Positions parts to be joined under presser foot and needle and lowers presser foot.

• Starts, stops, and controls speed of machine, using pedal or knee lever.

• Guides parts under needle, using fingers and hands, and following edges, seams, guides on machine bed, or markings on part.

• Observes stitching to detect defects and notifies supervisor or sewing machine repairer when defects are caused by machine malfunction.

• May select sewing supplies, such as binding, braid, cord, piping, tape, thread, or welt, according to specifications or color of material.

• May oil machine, change needles, or secure modifying attachments to machine. Machine Operator

Responsibilities: This person will be on our production floor helping make mattresses and packaging them for shipment. They will help in whatever area needed. This may include operating the turning machine (turning the mattress covers right side to be stuffed with mattress cores), the stuffing machine (machine that stuffs cotton/poly/foam mattress cores into the mattress cover), and boxing (building/taping cardboard boxes, filling them, stacking boxes on pallets and shrink wrapping them with shrink wrap machine)

Monday through Friday 7:30am-4pm- 17 to 20 based on experience 

 We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Telescopic Forklift Operator to operate heavy equipment on construction sites. The operator will be responsible for safely lifting, moving, and placing materials using a telescopic forklift (telehandler) in a variety of outdoor construction environments. This role is critical for maintaining efficient site logistics and supporting crew operations. Safely and efficiently operate sit down forklift within the production facility. Move products (concrete blocks) to and from kilns, and from production to distribution.

 

 

  • Operate a telehandler to move, lift, and place construction materials and concrete blocks. 

  • Maneuver loads to elevated locations such as scaffolding, rooftops, and upper floors.

  • Perform pre- and post-operation inspections on the equipment to ensure safe operating condition.

  • Follow all site safety protocols and comply with OSHA regulations.

  • Transport materials around rough terrain and confined spaces safely and efficiently.

  • Coordinate with site supervisors, riggers, and laborers to ensure accurate material placement.

  • Perform minor maintenance or report issues to maintenance staff immediately.

  • Keep work area clean and organized to support overall site safety and productivity.

  • May assist with general labor or material handling duties when equipment is not in use.

Job Requirements:

Prior experience operating heavy equipment, especially telescopic forklifts or similar machines.
Experience navigating rough terrain, lifting loads at height, or placing materials in elevated/remote positions is a plus.

 Knowledge of different attachments .

Understanding of load charts, boom angle, reach, weight limits, and how these affect stability.
Ability to conduct pre-start and post-use inspections of the machine.
Wearing and using required PPE (hard hat, steel toed boots, high-visibility clothing, etc.).
Good safety record, ability to follow safety protocols.

Reach Truck Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a reach truck to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. This role supports our supply chain by ensuring accurate storage and retrieval of materials.

  • Operate reach truck to transport materials throughout the warehouse.

  • Load and unload products from racks and staging areas.

  • Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and loading docks.

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the reach truck to ensure safety and operational standards.

  • Maintain inventory accuracy by scanning and tracking products using warehouse management systems (WMS).

  • Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and safe at all times.

  • Adhere to all safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA regulations.

  • Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned (e.g., palletizing, picking, packing, cycle counting).

Job Requirements:

 

  • Valid Reach Truck Operator Certification (or ability to obtain certification).

  • 1–2 years of experience operating reach trucks in a warehouse or distribution environment.

  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and WMS systems is a plus.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying warehouse temperatures.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
