Shift: 

• 1st shift Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm 

• 1st shift - $18 an hour 

Position Description:

As a General Warehouse and Inventory Associate, you will be responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and tracking of equipment within the warehouse. Your primary duties include receiving, storing, organizing, and picking equipment for sales orders ensuring accuracy and completeness of items, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.

• Properly inventory and receive items into stock
• Review incoming and outgoing products for damage
• Conduct inventory counts
• Identify, inspect and pull items from stock to fulfill Sales Orders
• Physically and systematically move aged inventory and/or damaged items to scrap

Primary Objectives:

• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
• Comply with OSHA and ISO safety and regulations
• Warehouse organization and cleaning to reduce down time
• Cross train in other areas of operation
• Understand Oracle NetSuite and the necessary processes for this role

The Ideal Candidate:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Shift: 

• 2nd shift Monday through Friday, 12pm to 8:30pm (hours may vary)

The available position requires the ability to work safely in a team-oriented environment. Previous forklift and/or heavy equipment experience preferred. Applicants must be available to work Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day (including some weekends and holidays). Must be 18 years or older. High School diploma or GED required, in additional to a valid driver’s license. We have a direct hire opening for a Load Planner/Dispatcher in Reno at a logistics company specializing in freight brokerage, LTL and TL shipments, warehousing, and other key services. This is a 1st shift opening! 

In this role, you will coordinate and manage the scheduling of freight transportation, communicate with carriers, drivers, and customers to ensure timely delivery, and use logistics software to track shipments and provide updates.

• Pay: $30-$35/hour
• 1st shift: 7 AM-4 PM; Monday-Friday (Be on call after hours one week per month; for this work, earn an additional $100 stipend)

Job Duties of the Load Planner/Dispatcher:

• Interact with customers and brokers via phone calls, texts, and email.
• Assist customers with inquiries and shipment requirements, especially in areas where they lack knowledge or need support.
• Keep track of all shipments, including the status of pickups/deliveries.
• Update customers to address issues and delays that occur.
• Use a TMS to update and adjust shipment details as needed; modify load plans based on changes made by customers.
• Book and negotiate rates for backhauls and head hauls with brokers, and update them on their loads.
• Reduce the amount of time or distance a truck travels empty without carrying a load.
• Ensure tractor revenue per mile stays at the required level for profitability.
• Enter load and shipment data into the TMS and verify that all details are accurate and compliant.
• Ensure all shipping and receiving location details provided by customers and brokers are correct.
• Keep records of freight rates, lane history, and other metrics for continuous improvement.
• Dispatch drivers with their route plans.
• Help drivers with dispatch issues, routing, trip planning, and handle emergency calls that arise during transit.
• Work with each department to ensure all safety and maintenance can be performed.
