Client Overview

Our client is a manufacturer of replacement windows for military aircraft and a distributor of additional specialty products. Their operation focuses on precision acrylic fabrication using CNC router technology. This role supports a hands-on production environment and is not a traditional machinist position.


Job Responsibilities

  • Cut raw acrylic sheets to size using a table saw

  • Use low-temperature ovens, forms, and clamps to mold acrylic window shapes (for specific models)

  • Mill window edges to precise specifications using a CNC router (2D milling)

  • Build window frames using aluminum components and acrylic adhesives

  • Perform quality control inspections on finished products to ensure all specifications are met

  • Troubleshoot production issues and make necessary adjustments

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Job Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

  • CNC Router experience (2D milling) preferred

    • This is not a machinist role

    • Candidates seeking traditional machining positions will not be a good fit

  • Experience with Fusion 360 is a plus, but not required

  • Candidates without CNC experience must be:

    • Technologically adaptable

    • Willing to learn and be trained

    • Comfortable working with computerized equipment

  • Carpentry or craftsman experience strongly preferred, including use of:

    • Routers

    • Table saws

    • Drill presses

    • Hand tools

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills

  • Ability to understand assemblies and troubleshoot issues

  • General production or manufacturing experience

  • Ability to self-inspect and quality-check own work

  • Dependable, accountable, and detail-oriented

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Read and accurately use a tape measure

  • Perform basic math, including fractions

  • Load and unload sheets of steel plate on and off the machine table

  • Input product designs into the computer modeling system

  • Select and load the correct cutting tools for each job

  • Adjust machine settings to meet product specifications

  • Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process

  • Perform quality control checks throughout production

  • Clean and maintain machinery to ensure safe operation


 

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required

  • CNC machine operation experience preferred, but not required

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings

  • Understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) preferred

  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience preferred, but not mandatory

Assembler 

1st and 2nd Shift Needed 

$19.00/hr 

Basic Function: Under the direction of production supervision, the Production Assembler I build the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, meeting company production standards, and customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Typical duties/responsibilities for operations may include, but are not limited to, the following: Assemble products, following Engineering documents, ensuring the highest quality products, meeting company product standards, production goals, and customer specifications and delivery requirements. Operate computer to check schedules, update manufacturing status of jobs.

Perform operator based Go-No Go testing per procedures. Continually monitor quality of parts used in the assembly process. Assist in the training of other employees, addressing and resolving inquiries and problems. Perform material handling activities as required. Review assembly processes and methods and recommend changes to ensure the continuous, ongoing improvement of productivity and quality. Interface with engineering to accurately communicate information.

Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, reject tickets, etc. Participate actively in team meetings and group discussions. Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards. 

Complexity of Tasks: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Qualifications: High School diploma and up to 2 years of experience.
