Position Overview
The Quality, Safety & Compliance Manager oversees all quality assurance, safety programs, and regulatory compliance within the organization. This role acts as a central connection point between departments, ensuring that safety standards, quality expectations, and SQF requirements are consistently met. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in managing quality systems within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management & Compliance
- Serve as the primary liaison between departments for safety, quality, and SQF policies.
- Oversee compliance with all SQF System Policies and Procedures.
- Manage inspection processes for incoming raw materials.
- Maintain compliance with all state and local safety and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate pest control services.
- Work directly with Production teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Develop and deliver training for Production staff on quality metrics and standards.
- Train new Quality Department staff on quality processes and expectations.
- Manage roll returns of out-of-spec materials and issue RMAs to customers.
- Oversee in-house rejections and corrective actions.
- Track and report internal and external rejections.
- Communicate with customers regarding returns, specifications, and annual compliance certificates.
- Conduct internal and external audits.
- Monitor SOPs and work instructions related to packing, training, extrusion, and safety.
- Design, implement, and improve food safety policies, guidelines, and training programs.
- Lead monthly safety training meetings and safety committee activities.
- Report SQF concerns and KPIs to the CEO.
Process Improvement & Leadership
- Identify, develop, and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Collaborate with department managers to optimize workflows and support company growth.
- Uphold company values and maintain high moral and ethical standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the CEO.

• Must be HACCP and SQF certified or willing to obtain certification.

• Proficiency with computers and standard software programs.
• Experience managing quality department team members.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume, continuous-process manufacturing environment.
