Warehouse Associate – Consolidation

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support our consolidation process. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring items from multiple orders are accurately combined, tracked, and prepared for shipment. This is a critical position that helps maintain efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within warehouse operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Order Consolidation:
  • Begin the consolidation process after orders have been fulfilled, ensuring all items are correctly grouped for shipment.
  • Inventory Tracking & Location Management:
  • Maintain and update tote locations using an RF scanner, ensuring precise tracking and movement throughout the warehouse.
  • System Monitoring:
  • Utilize the AWL (Automated Warehouse Logistics) system to monitor completed orders and confirm they are ready for the next stage.
  • Packing & Preparation:
  • Pack and organize items efficiently into boxes or totes, ensuring they are secure and ready for shipping.
  • Quality & Compliance Checks:
    • Verify required certifications are accurate and included
    • Ensure part numbers are clearly legible
  • Order Verification:
  • Perform manual counts to verify accuracy of hand count orders prior to final packing.
  • Final Scanning & Processing:
  • Scan completed totes or boxes into the correct system locations to confirm readiness for shipment.


Job Requirements:

Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred Experience using RF scanners is a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills for system tracking (AWL or similar)

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently

Job Requirements:

  • Experienced with using manual tools and equipment, including pallet jacks and RF scanners.
  • Capable of Handling Heavy Loads: Continuously lift, carry, and stack bags of pet food (up to 50lbs) for the duration of the shift.
  • Comfortable with building pallets from the floor up.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
  • Must be light on their feet, with the ability to move quickly and safely throughout the warehouse.
  • Must maintain high situational awareness and always stay alert to identify and respond to auditory and visual safety signals, such as forklift horns, back-up alarms, and verbal warnings.
  • Ability to perceive and react immediately to environmental cues to ensure personal safety and the safety of the team in a heavy- machinery environment.
