- 3rd shift available
- Monday to Friday (need to be flexible on days, schedule might change depending on need)
- Hours: 9:00PM to 5:30AM
- Compensation up to $36.00 an hour
The Maintenance Supervisor performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, modification, and repair activities in assigned maintenance operational areas which may include buildings, conveyors, electrical and performs related work as required. The job will entail preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of heavy industrial manufacturing equipment and facilities. This position will be working with AC/DC controls, PLC controlled equipment, pneumatics and with voltage of up to 480 volts. Manage minor projects. Provide training to lower grade levels.
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
- Under minimal supervision perform skilled and semi-skilled facility maintenance activities including patching and painting walls, patching floors, replacing lights, repair racking, office furniture moves and setups and other facilities related tasks.
- Under minimal supervision perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities to include troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on conveyor equipment.
- Document all work order activities including labor, parts and inventory used and closing of work orders to provide documented records of the maintenance performed
- Follow lockout-tag out procedures, confined space procedures and other safety and environmental procedures and policies as required.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Experience working effectively under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities.
- Knowledge of OSHA compliance is a plus 4.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings
- Highly motivated, a team player and motivated self-starter
- Conversational Spanish skills a plus
- Experience in using Microsoft Outlook and Word programs
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
- Multi-task in a fast-paced work environment that has a strong customer focus.
- Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with co-workers and managers in a cooperative constructive manner.
- Ability to work with high and low voltage, AC and DC
- Proven track record of strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Automatic Identification systems (Laser Scanning Devices).
- Regarded as a system expert in at least one area (i.e. Pick Module, VAS, Shipping Sorter)
- Demonstrated ability to expedite several projects simultaneously
- Strong project planning and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to expedite several projects simultaneously
- Complete pass down logs to inform co-workers of the operational status of the facilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair controls, process controllers, control cabinets, power supplies and all other field devices associated with the conveyor system.
- Use system software to troubleshoot, trend and monitor conveyor equipment
- Develop and implement innovative ideas to increase productivity and/or reliability
- Enter data in the computerized maintenance management system
