Job Opening: Entry-Level Maintenance Mechanic

We have a direct hire opening for an Entry-Level Maintenance Mechanic in Tacoma at an asphalt shingles manufacturer! This is a 1^st shift position!  

In this role, troubleshoot and repair a wide range of machinery essential to the asphalt shingle production process.

Direct Hire Opportunity – Be on our client’s payroll from Day 1!

Pay and Shift:

• Pay: $28.64/hour (Double time will be paid for hours worked over 50)
• 1st shift: 6 am-2:30 pm; Saturday-Wednesday with Thursdays and Fridays off

Job Duties of the Entry-Level Maintenance Mechanic:

• Shadow experienced Technicians to gain experience in diagnosing failures and making necessary repairs to production line equipment
• Learn to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
• Use a computer maintenance management system to log activities and retrieve information about work orders
• Maintain a safe work environment by following all rules and procedures
• Learn about all aspects of their maintenance operations
• Install, assemble, and test new machines
• Troubleshoot and repair all equipment on the production line, raw material intake systems, conveyors, electric motors, hydraulics and pneumatics, replace bearings, rollers, and more.

Job Requirements of the Entry-Level Maintenance Mechanic:

• Have 6 months of experience in industrial maintenance
• Welding and fabrication experience is preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
