Monday – Friday 5:30 AM – 2: 00 PM Pay – $26.00 – $28.00

A Forklift Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklifts and related material-handling equipment. This role ensures equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Work may include electric, diesel, LP, and hybrid-powered units depending on the fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Conduct preventive maintenance including fluid changes, lubrication, battery service, and safety inspections.

• Repair and replace components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, masts, forks, lift cylinders, steering systems, and electrical wiring.

• Inspect equipment for safety compliance and document findings according to OSHA and company standards.

• Respond to breakdowns and perform on-site or shop repairs to minimize downtime.

• Maintain accurate service records including parts used, labor hours, and completed work.

• Order and manage parts inventory as needed for repairs and maintenance.

• Collaborate with operations teams to schedule maintenance and communicate equipment status.

• Operate forklifts and related equipment to verify repairs and ensure proper functionality.

• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
