About the Position
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for general facility and equipment repairs.
Functions
- Perform general facility maintenance to interior and exterior of building, fixtures, appliances, and equipment.
- Schedule and oversee any third-party contractors visiting facility for repairs or maintenance
- Inspect ladders, dock doors, dock lights, dock plates, and personnel door access for safe operation.
- Maintain Preventative Maintenance schedule and log for all buildings and equipment
- Operate battery changing equipment/station for powered industrial equipment
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment.
- Identify and repair faulty equipment
- Comply with all safety requirements.
- Additional duties as assigned by direct Supervisor
Qualifications
- Minimum two years maintenance and repair experience required. Strong mechanical ability required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Attention to detail
- Pass Background and Drug Screen
